Vacatureomschrijving

The IMI Conception consortium is a ground-breaking pan-European partnership between 51 pharmaceutical companies, academia and government agencies that is funded by the EU Innovative Medicines Initiative. This consortium aims to develop a system to generate evidence on the safety if drugs in pregnancy and during breast feeding from real-world evidence. The research will be carried out at a European level, in close collaboration with pharmaceutical companies, academia and regulatory agencies. The employee would be working at the Julius Center, UMCU, the Netherlands The key activities of the employee would be to conduct interviews and to develop ethical issues, design analysis plans and visual displays for the assessment of quality of data from real world evidence in collaboration with study statisticians, ensure participation and conduct of demonstration studies together with other collaborators, and report in scientific journals.

Department

The Julius Center for Health Sciences and Primary Care is one of the 10 divisions within the University Medical Center Utrecht (UMC Utrecht) and has a specific interest in Real World Evidence principles and methods. The Julius Center aspires to an international leadership role in obtaining and disseminating knowledge in the field of health sciences and primary care medicine. It has acquired a leading position by focusing on 3 pillars: ground-breaking research, successful education programs and academic primary care. The Julius Global Health group aims to build human capacity and infrastructures to improve health, globally. Its key outcome areas of interest are cardiovascular and maternal child health and drugs are an essential intervention.

Profile

You have an MSc in Life Sciences, or an MA in Philosophy, Ethics, Theology or Humanities. If you also have an MSc in Pharmaceutical or Healthcare Science, Epidemiology, Data Science or a similar education we consider that as an advantage. Preferably, you have a number of years of experience in the field of healthcare innovation and have worked with big data. You have an interest in real world evidence and ethics. You must have proven writing ability, strong problem solving skills, skills in communication and fluency in Dutch and English. You are able to work independently in a multi-disciplinary team and you have interest in working in collaboration with different partners and stakeholders locally and internationally.

The maximum salary for this position (100%) is € 3.103,00 gross per month based on full-time employment (work week 36 hours). This job is based on a temporary position for 1 jaar met mogelijkheid tot verlenging.

In addition, we offer an annual benefit of 8.3%, holiday allowance, travel expenses and career opportunities. The terms of employment are in accordance with the Cao University Medical Centers (UMC).
